My husband Tom is a quadriplegic and I work 24 hours a week two 12 hour days that can vary. You will have to stretch, bathe, dress and transfer him via hoyer lift to his electric wheelchair. You will then need to get him breakfast and put his pill container on his tray. He can take his own pills and feed himself. He then may watch tv, listen to music, go outside or he may have PT or OT. On days he doesn't have it/ pt you would be doing stretching. Otherwise, During that time you could change his bed, do laundry or dishes until it's time for lunch. You would have to make him lunch but again he can feed himself. Normally he's naps in his chair in the afternoon. Dinner will need to be made if I haven't left anything. He may want to go to bed before I get home or he may want to stay up. It's up to him. Tomorrow is a fully alert and oriented. We are looking for someone reliable, cheerful, competent, and organized. Willing to train the right person and looking for a long term relationship.
