About the job

About who needs care: My Mom walks with a walker and needs to have someone behind her when she walks. Her mind is sharp at times but she has mild cognitive decline for her age. She likes to watch the news, read the paper, and do her daily crossword. She also enjoys getting a manicure, pedicure, and getting her hair done. She doesn't eat much in one sitting so we try to give her several small meals/snacks throughout the day. She loves ice cream, but she is short and weighs less than 100 pounds. About the care needs: Someone with lots of patience, as my Mom still tries to be independent. We like to try to get her out of the house as much as she is up for, and enjoy taking her to Mass on either Saturday afternoons or Sunday mornings. She enjoys good conversation. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
