About the job

About who needs care: We just need toilet transfer for my 37-year-old son whose legs are paralyzed from cancer spreading to the spinal column. He is in home hospice but his aides are females who cannot raise him from his wheelchair to the toilet. About the care needs: They need to be able to lift our son from a recliner chair to his adjacent wheelchair and then wheel him to the toilet and transfer his there. (he can hold onto the person's neck to be lifted) The person would need to wait until he's finished to re-situate him. Ideally this would be a male home health assistant/ aide who is able to lift him. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
