About the job

About who needs care: Hey, my mom is a wonderful, independent woman living at home and she needs help with meals, medication management and possibly running errands. She can bathe and dress independently, but want someone around just in case. She has diabetes that involves glucose monitoring and insulin shots (she just needs help getting the medication) and recently started using a walker. We have good instructions on what the AM and PM shift look like and would walk through this with a potential caregiver. About the care needs: The caregiver should be reliable and kind. My mom likes to chat, but also (at 94) may be asleep during much of the time. Comfort with diabetes management would be a plus. Helping my mom put on a blood pressure cuff would be great. Someone who can communicate well with my mom is important as she just loves connecting with different people. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
