About the job

We need hands-on, overnight care to take care of my step-mother who is on in-home hospice in Oswego. Important - experience with managing and administering medication is required. One of your responsibilities will be helping with bathing. Personal care required, including feeding. Looking for a caring and compassionate companion. Preferences for a caregiver who is comfortable with pets (large dogs) and CPR / first-aid trained. Prefer home health aide and/or CNA experience. I am her primary caregiver and will administer her daily scheduled meds, you will be responsible for managing breakthrough pain, nausea/vomiting, and anxiety as needed. She is in the end stages of cancer and is unlikely to last more than a couple of weeks. Experience working with hospice patients and end of life care is a must.
