About the job

About who needs care: Stage 5 renal failure, Stage 5 kidney failure (she does dialysis Monday Wednesday and Friday 11-4). Been on dialysis for 4 years now. Congestive heart failure. She is starting to decline in her breathing, blood pressure is always low, and her heart rate has been uncontrolled. She has been in and out of ER these last few weeks and we are not seeing any improvement. She has always been pretty independent until now. She does not want a long term facility and wants to be in her apartment. Which is why Im looking here. She has a care taker that comes Monday and Thursday through lifescape. She is trying to get more hours for her as she has had her for 10 years now but that appointment is sometime in mid June and we are not sure we can hold off for that. About the care needs: Someone who has a sense of humor. Someone that will not belittle her or say mean things to her. She already feels like a burden to everyone involved and we tell her she is our main obligation at this time. She is a sweet lady and does not have a mean bone in her body. So someone that can keep her spirits alive while with her would be best. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
