About who needs care: recovering from a recent fall; some confusion and agitation which should diminish over time Mom gets up late morning, has a leisurely breakfast, has occasional pt or st visits in the afternoons, or family visits. When she is able, daughters often take her to lunch or shopping. But the fall has really affected her energy and confidence. About the care needs: Mom is very hard of hearing--caregiver needs to be willing to speak up! Mom has never had in home caregiving: while she really enjoys people, she may be shy at first. Someone who can warm up dinner for her and sit while she eats dinner, help her remember which meds to take, help her get ready for bed would be most useful. There are confusion issues since the fall--we are hoping these will diminish as she heals. Services needed include: companionship.
