About the job

About who needs care: My Dad is mobile. He uses a cane. He is a fall risk. He seems to have given up on most things. He is very introverted, yet I know he is lonely. I live in Savannah and visit him at least once a week, sometimes spending the night. I am the oldest of his two children. My brother has Down Syndrome. He lives in a group home in Glennville. My Dad wants him home every weekend. Dad needs companionship, light housekeeping, and someone to cook a meal. I do these things when I am there. About the care needs: My Dad used to play golf, but had to give it up. He watches a great deal of old television shows. He worked at the Ga Ports and loved his job. He needs someone low key, someone who will talk with him, but not overwhelm him. Also, his hearing is really bad. He has hearing aids but still has trouble hearing with them in. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
