About the job

My mother has late-stage lung cancer and is declining. I (her son) live in North Carolina, and I have been coming down here every week for the past couple of months to help her. Until a couple of weeks ago, she could be home by herself on the weekends, but that is no longer the case, and I am looking for someone who can stay with her while I am away. She is mostly bed-bound or chair-bound at this point. She will most likely need hospice in the next week or two (if not sooner). In her last hospital stay, she was diagnosed with Covid, so while it will have been over a week, she may still be contagious for a few days so you should be prepared to wear a mask when helping her for at least the first few days. I am looking for someone who ideally has experience in hospice care and dealing with patients at the end of life.
