About who needs care: My mom had open heart surgery 4/8/2024. We anticipate she will be discharged by 4/15. She was overall healthy before but had a bad heart valve due to genetics. She will need assistance for a minimum of 2 weeks with showering, food prep, lifting objects, letting the physical therapist into the apartment. Basically, I just need the person to keep an eye on her make sure she is not over-exerting herself. I got to work Monday-Friday from 9-5 p.m. so that would be mostly the time I need someone. April 25- April 29th I will be out of town so I would like the person to also work that Saturday and Sunday. She likes to read and watch TV so there isn't much she will be doing. About the care needs: My mom is a scientist and she likes good conversation. My mom is chill and low-maintenance. Someone who is easy going and happy would be nice. They just need to feel comfortable helping my mom in and out of the shower. Prepping her lunch. Getting her drinks. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
