We're looking for a kind, hands-on caregiver to support my father-in-law at home following a recent stroke. He's in his 70s and has left-sided weakness, so safety is our top priority especially during transfers to and from bed, chairs, and the bathroom. He requires assistance with most transfers using a gait belt and benefits from close supervision to help prevent falls. He's still witty and loves to joke around, so someone who can provide both physical support and companionship would be a great fit. Light housekeeping, help with bathing, meal prep, and making sure he eats well and remembers his medications are all part of the daily routine. Occasional errands or transportation to appointments may be needed as well. We'd prefer someone who is CPR/First Aid certified and a non-smoker, who treats him like family.
