I use a power wheelchair full time now and have many chronic conditions like, chronic pain, chronic worsening weakness, chronic confusion, chronic nausea, and more lately I have really been struggling to remember certain things I do or say, so I might need to be reminded sometimes. I also fatigue very quickly so I have to pick and choose what I do with my very limited energy, and having a care giver to assist me with certain tasks helps save my energy for the things in life I really care about. Some days my partner needs to do several errands that take up most the day, but being a lone for that long is hard on me, so sometimes it might work out best for you to run errands, or to assist me at home while my partner goes out. Other tasks I might need help with, range of motion exercise, meal prep, cleaning, dusting, laundry, organizing, things like keeping up with my basic care needs, as well as some specialized tasks like wrapping my legs to help with swelling that we can teach you if you don't know how to do something that would help me, so a willingness to learn goes a long ways. My schedule is open, but afternoon work best for you to come once a week for five hours. Doing Art, being outside with my dogs, watch movies and shows during some care needs, playing with my dogs at our dog park on property, swimming for fun and for PT strengthen. The ability to multi task and get things done without needing supervision. The ability to seek out tasks when I struggle to think of things. Organizing skills would be nice as I moved a few months ago and many of my things are not unpacked yet. Being physically strong enough to do certain tasks like laundry, moving things to help keep things accessible for me, is really important. The ability to run certain errands would be ideal. I react to a lot of cleaning products so we use vinegar and working with what we use is a must. No smoking as I react quite badly to smoke, even second hand. Being comfortable with dogs as they are a big part of my life. A willingness to learn new skills would be nice as some of my care needs are very specific to me, and my condition. Be willing to have a flexible routine as some days might be just cleaning or errands what ever need is greatest for the day. Parking is free and open as long as you don't park under the cover as those are assigned spots A adult Dog Edith 8 years and a puppy 9 months
