About the job
We need a temporary person for the next 4-6 weeks while one of our regular care givers recovers from surgery. My father has end-stage COPD, is currently immobile, and on a ventilator. We're looking for someone to help Tuesday and Friday in the evenings 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and to be a backup person when our other regular people can't do their scheduled shift. We try to have someone come for one four-hour shift each day. We are happy to train the right person in any and all skills necessary. Duties include (but are not limited to) turning, bathing, help doing physical therapy exercises, and light housekeeping. We do have a cat in the house, but she is older and happy to be left alone.
