About who needs care: My mother has Parkinson's Disease, cervical dystonia, and scoliosis. She needs help bathing, getting dressed, picking things up off the floor, standing up, taking the first few steps, etc. She mostly watches a lot of TV and loves to eat some snacks. She is a bit of a night owl and late sleeper. About the care needs: My mom can be a bit picky about some things. Like getting all the crumbs off her after she eats, the water temperature in the shower has to be just right, or how she get situated in her chair. She is also very slow in her movements and getting from point A to point B can take a while. The caregiver must be very patient! She needs help bathing, getting dressed, and doing the fetch and carry type things. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
