About who needs care: I'm looking for additional care for my mother who has mid-stage dementia. I already have someone who comes M-F during the day. I want an additional person who can come 1) a couple days during the week to handle afternoon activities, dinner and prepare for bed, 2) on Saturdays to personal care, meals and activities, and 3) as a possible substitute during the week. About the care needs: The ideal caregiver will 1) have significant experience working with memory-impaired individuals, 2) be active and enthusiastic about getting my mom to walk and be active, 3) have a very positive disposition, and 4) be a very good cook (this will be tested). Two work references and one personal reference will be required. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
