About who needs care: We are seeking a kind, compassionate, and patient female memory care provider in Pasadena, CA for my mother-in-law who is in the advance stages of dementia. Assistance with activities of daily living required, including bathing, toileting, diaper change, transferring, and walking. Additional duties include meal preparation and medication distribution. Light housekeeping, including keeping patient's room and bathroom clean, as well as sweeping floors, washing dishes, laundry, and maintaining clean common areas is required. The ideal candidate will have an in-dept. understanding and awareness of the behaviors associated with dementia, including agitation, wandering, repetition, delayed/slow processing, confusion, and difficulty communicating. The ideal candidate will communicate with confidence, clarity, & patience.
