About the job

About who needs care: Mom is recovering from extensive foot surgery, and could use a little extra support. We are hoping to have someone come in a few days a week for an hour or two to assist with a handful of simply daily tasks, as her mobility is limited. A little about mom: she is an air force vet who has recently been managing numerous health challenges, and receiving care through the VA. While she doesn't have an extensive support network, she is slowly building a small community of friends in the Marina area. She's very kind, and dedicated to spoiling her rescue kitty, Waffles. Hobbies and interests include watercolor painting, crafts, and reading. She loves her Starbucks, and has a beautiful patio garden. About the care needs: We are hoping for a female caregiver who is kind, has a lot of patience and is a great listener; mom can be a can be chatty at times, and particular about how she likes things. Also someone who shares similar interests including art, coffee, tea, reading, and pets. No specialized skills needed. Light lifting may be required for groceries, etc. Light meal prep may also be requested. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
