About who needs care: Companion & Communication Partner for Young Adult with Autism- **Job Description**: We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic individual to be a companion and communication partner me. I am 25 years old, minimally verbal and use an iPad and keyboard to communicate. This role involves supporting me and my communication. Specifically, like making plans, shopping, preparing meals, engaging with digital media, as well as other meaningful experiences tailored to her interests. About the care needs: **Qualifications**: - Experience working with individuals with autism or neurodivergent individuals is a plus. - Ability/interest to learn and adapt to my unique communication method. - Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor. - Valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation. - CPR/First Aid certification is a bonus but not required. **Responsibilities**: - Facilitate communication using preferred devices (iPad and keyboard). - Plan and engage in recreational activities, outings, and exercise (i. e. walking 7k steps daily and pilates.) - Provide companionship and encouragement. Help with emotional and physical regulation in a supportive fashion. - Assist with transportation to activities or appointments as needed (options include either personal vehicle or rideshare accompaniment.) - Maintain a safe and supportive environment. Services needed include: transportation, and companionship.
