I need a companion care provider for my Mom who we suspect has Alzheimer's / Dementia but will be getting an official diagnosis in a couple weeks. She is almost 80. Her husband is there as well, but is getting overwhelmed and needs a break. She is rather sedentary and needs encouragement to get up and move around. Would like to maybe visit the senior center once a week or on occasion. She likes to play cards and they have several other games. Assistance with medication might be needed. We would prefer someone who can handle light housekeeping. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. We might ask you to run errands now and then. Duties could include transportation (doctor's appointments, errands, etc.). Preferences for a caregiver who is comfortable with pets and CPR / first-aid trained.
