About who needs care: My father is in hospice care living in his own home. He is still mobile but weak and is a fall risk. He's also on blood thinners. I mainly need someone to be there when I'm not to help him get in/out of chairs and move around the house safely (he stays on just 1 level of the house). About the care needs: The caregiver should be comfortable working with someone in hospice care and strong enough to help my father stand, move around and prevent from falling. This person may need to be on the taller side in order to provide this assistance as my dad is about 6 feet tall (and quite thin). I am a 57-year-old woman who is 5'9" and have no trouble helping him. Services needed include: mobility assistance.
