About the job

About who needs care: My mom is fairly independent but needs support going out into the community. She has COPD and uses oxygen and a walker. We are looking for someone to take her out in the community one day per week. We are also looking for someone who would be able to do occasional multiple day cares while we, her family whom she lives with go on vacation. My mom is a sweet lady who likes to craft, talk and share stories and play cards. Our home includes a kind, loving 12-year-old boarder collie so we would like someone who is comfortable with bigger dogs. About the care needs: We would like to find someone who enjoys conversing with the elderly, is able to help identify community outings, is able to drive and help with physical activities. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
