About who needs care: Mobility issues, early stages of dementia. Overall a very sweet and enjoys visiting. Hobbies include. ( Fire wood, gardening, bible reading/ church visiting.) My dad was a farmer and worked with machines throughout his life.) Ideal day: help him bath, get dressed, breakfast. Light house cleaning & organizing. He enjoys wood heat, so someone who likes to cut or chop fire wood would be great. Get him out side for a walk, and help him with any small tasks he might need help completing. About the care needs: Warm & friendly. He enjoys sharing stories and talking about his past. My dad can tend to be messy, so someone who can gently remind him or help him clean up. He has early stages of dementia, so he can be forgetful. He tends to miss place things and will blame others for " throwing things out or miss placing them." The care giver will need to have patience and remind him things from time to time. Overall he is supper sweet, but also a bit stubborn :) Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
