About the job

I need a companion care provider with Alzheimer's / Dementia experience for my father in his 80s. Some light tidying up may be involved. Looking for a caring, patient and compassionate companion. Non-smoker, comfortable with pets. The schedule is not yet determined, I just put in some random times. I have 2 children and would like extra help with my father at times when my kids need more attention (possibly morning getting ready for school, and evenings when I take them to activities). Dad is currently very happy and mostly easy going. Taking him outside for small walks, doing puzzles, listening to music... he is fairly easily pleased. Care giver must be a gentle, compassionate, easy-going person. He has had care givers who are demanding or argumentative and they get him riled up. We are not going down that road again.
