About the job

About who needs care: She has dementia and some mobility issues. She lives in her condo with 4 cats who are very well behaved. She lives for her cats. She can't really prepare any meals for herself and needs reminders to take pills. About the care needs: Must like cats! Friendly but not overly chatty. We usually have care for her from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day. The routine is get her up, make coffee, make breakfast (cold cereal or a microwaveable breakfast sandwich), feed the cats for her, light housekeeping -sweeping, wipe down bathroom and kitchen, scoop litter, take out trash (she sometimes puts food on the floor during the night to feed the cats), make lunch- hot microwaveable or sandwhich, make dinner plate-cold sandwhich, potato salad, chips, and her evening pills. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
