About the job

About who needs care: My brother has had several strokes and his speech is limited. He is mobile and able to take care of his ADL's. He currently has a friend who helps once in a while but is not always available. I'm looking for someone who can check in on him daily or weekly, especially when his friend is out of town. Some of the needs may involve addressing problems that arise in the home like power outage, utility service, etc. About the care needs: Having someone who can identify symptoms of a stroke would be ideal. Also, good interpersonal skills would be nice, personable, can chat, be warm and friendly, take him for a drive to Yankee Meadows to see nature, etc. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
