About the job

About who needs care: She is diabetic. Was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and just started on insulin this week. She is lonely and forgetful. Her husband lives with her but barely speaks to her and they have separate bedrooms. He is no help. She is pretty much on her own always and needs help with errands and meals as she doesn't always feel her best and eats whatever is easiest and at random times each day. This affects her medication. About the care needs: They need to know how to care for a diabetic person and meal plan for them. They need to be caring and patient as my mom is very much like a child when it comes to taking medicine and eating right, meaning that she is forgetful and has to be reminded constantly and persuaded that this is good for her. My mom is Christian and spends most of her time speaking to others about God, so someone who is also a Christian would be a plus. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
