About the job

About who needs care: Stoke Survivor 74 years old. Paralyzed on left side. Uses hoyer lift and electric wheelchair. Unable to get up on own at this point. Main needs are bathing, turning, moving to chair/bed and back, occasional meal prep. Possible errands and sporadic transportation possibly. Do not always need an all day carer. Drop ins for an hour would suffice if anyone does that. Mother (his wife) is also here, but has mobility issues and can not do the lifting and moving but will assist with some tasks. Possibly some weekends. About the care needs: Experience with Hoyer lift and bed-ridden a plus. Laid back personality comfortable with "grumpiness" and willing to change briefs and bathe when needed. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
