About who needs care: My mother is 79 and cannot move on her own. She has Parkinson's, and her right arm is receiving OT at this time. She needs to be fed and administered medications at the same time. She watches TV most of the day, but would like to have someone she could chit-chat with as well. She also has Dementia and sometimes forgets where she is and who is around. She spends most days in her bed, but we do have a hoyer to lift and transport her to a La-Z-Boy-like chair. This is the basis of what is needed. She does need to be changed throughout the day as well. About the care needs: I would like a female (as my mother is more comfortable with females) who would treat her like family. Someone who will talk and care for her in all her needs during the time they are here. I want to have someone who my mother will become excited to see and cannot wait for their visits. Someone who puts priority of my mothers health first while here. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
