About the job

About who needs care: My mother was recently diagnosed with Glioblastoma and my father and I have been caring for her since the diagnosis. She has had a couple of hospitalizations due to the Glioblastoma and recently discharged due to a pulmonary embolism. She does require assistance in the home with IADLs and ADLs. She can't be left alone due to debility. Unfortunately, I have to travel back to Virginia and need someone to assist my dad while I am away. About the care needs: Empathy and patience, definitely. My mother is very kind but does get emotional and confused due to the Glioblastoma. She is altered and confused. Someone with some medical knowledge and CNA / physical therapy background would be helpful. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
