About who needs care: She has Parkinson, potentially stage 4, doctor has not changed her stage yet officially but the conditions seem to be like stage 4. Her biggest struggles now are cognitive reasoning, freezing (she will not think she can move, particularly when just waking), balance issues, stiff movements. When she was more mobile she loved working outdoors. We have let her make her own schedule, if she doesnt sleep well, she sleeps later. I believe she would benefit from a more consistent schedule but we hadnt pushed it yet. About the care needs: Its helps to have skills needed to handle dementia and loss of reasoning. She is also not good at communicating always and struggles to find the right words to explain what problems she may have. So, I would think patience, positive attitude, and strong. She is only 145 pounds but sometimes she is no help at all in lifting. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
