About who needs care: My 79-year-old father is a full of life gentleman who just needs some extra help with personal care with catheter and medication management. My mother is his caregiver but it is getting to be too much for her as she is 72 and a lot of his conditions are out of her scope of knowledge. It is also beginning to be hard for her to see her husband begin to decline, therefore blurring the line between reality and denial of how much help he really needs. He is a Vietnam veteran who needs motivation to do some exercises as he loves his chair but he lives for his grandchildren. He needs to have a routine like he used to have. wake up at 8:30, eat breakfast and then catch up on the news. He now just wakes up when he wants and doesn't eat breakfast half the time. All of his children and grandchildren live close but they are all teachers so during the morning they are unable to assist him with his needs. About the care needs: My grandfather is a 30-year-old stuck in an 79-year-old body. He wants to go be able to do stuff but he just cannot as he is very weak in the legs and is stubborn in his ways.
