We're seeking hands-on support for our mother, who has dementia. She needs help with personal care, light housekeeping, simple meals, and companionship - with a strong focus on safety. Our father (79) is her primary caregiver and is overwhelmed. The ideal candidate has dementia care experience and a calm, confident presence. Our mother is strong-willed, so a firm but kind demeanor is important. Services include: engaging companionship including appropriate (and creative) activities - she is "busy", bathing/dressing, light housekeeping, laundry, minor meal prep, feeding assistance, possibly some errands & transportation (flexible on this point). Assistance with medication. We're looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and comfortable engaging with someone who may resist care at times.
