About the job

About who needs care: My grandmother recently fractured a disc in her lower back and she is overweight with diabetes II. Therefore, she already has mobility issues and physicals limitations. My grandfather, who already lives with her, has physical limitations as well- he has back pain, hip pain, and tremors in both hands, which makes it difficult for him to assist her. He also has difficulty hearing, so he cannot always hear if she is calling to him for help. They would require laundry help, grocery/meal preparation help, moving assistance, and occasional transportation services for doctor appointments. About the care needs: Very good at listening and a very sociable person. They would need to be strong enough to carry in grocery bags, and also assist my grandmother (about 190lb) with mobility as needed. They should be patient and willing to do basic chores, such as laundry, cooking, cleaning, and be good with cats (they have 3). Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
