Right at Home Lehigh & East Berks County is looking to hire full-time, part-time, & per diem caregivers for all shifts! We provide flexible scheduling by letting you make your OWN schedule! You do NOT need to have experience, we provide FREE training! We reimburse for mileage between clients and we pay for travel time. We also pay more for short shifts and couples care. We pay weekly by direct deposit, we offer health/dental insurance & 401k retirement plan with company match. Essential Functions of our Direct Care Workers: 1. Adheres to Agency policies and procedures. 2. Performs work under the supervision of the Right at Home Office. 3. Performs personal care activities contained in a written assignment by the Right at Home office which includes but is not limited to, assisting the patient with activities of daily living, such as: Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using bedpan, bathing, oral care, skin care, and hair care) Ambulation Eating Dressing Shaving Meal Preparation House Cleaning, such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, laundry, dishes, and cleaning of client's restrooms Assist in the emptying of ostomy appliances when needed Reinforcement of dressings (non-sterile) when required Assisting with the use of devices for aid to daily living (cane, walker, wheelchair or lift device) Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises Assisting with self-administered simple urine tests for sugar acetone or albumin (Home Health Aide may not interpret results) Measuring and preparing special diets Measuring intake and output Taking vital signs and documenting (temperature, pulse, respirations and blood pressure) Application of an external (condom-type) catheter Assist with application of arm sling, arm splint or leg splint when required Maintain a safe and secure environment for client's Adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures for federal, state, and local requirements Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Per Diem COVID-19 considerations: We supply all our aides with masks and gloves.
