About the job

About who needs care: My mom is recovering from back issues and is awaiting surgery, and while she doesn't need medical care, she does need regular help around the house - things like laundry, light cleaning, errands and just a bit of companionship. My parents are doing their best but they're stretched thin and I live out of state. I'm looking for someone kind, reliable and patient - ideally someone who can come a few times a week to ease the daily load. About the care needs: Personality wise someone who is light, has a good sense of humor and patient. She loves to tell stories, so someone who could sit and listen to her chat. No specialized skills, although if they could do some meal prep that would be an added bonus Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
