Seeking flexible, and ideally long term, care for my 70-year-old mother who is in remission from brain cancer. I am looking for 4-8 hours of respite care weekly or bi-weekly. Must be patient and able to answer repetitive questions as my mother suffers from severe short term memory loss. Must be able to assist my mom in transferring from her bed to her bedside commode, from her wheelchair to her bed, and assist her in walking safely with her walker. My mom is generally a very easy going and kind person. She does suffer from memory loss induced anxiety and requires reassurance and compassion. Seeking someone who is interested in being a companion to my mom and can engage in meaningful activities with her. We enjoy getting out as much as we can and would love to have a caregiver who is up for adventure and willing to go out.
