My husband is in a skilled nursing facility. He fell and fractured his hip, He was admitted to the nursing facility under Medicare supposedly for 100 days but the PT and OT reported that he has reached his limit in physical therapy because he gets so worn out/exhausted and has to stop. They say they have helped him all they can and insurance will no longer cover his stay there. He is coming home by ambulance on Friday, June 13th. At this point, he can walk no more than a few steps using a walker then he has to sit down. We both have congestive heart failure. I took care of him by myself but now I need help. Assistance with medication is needed. Some help needed with bathing; helping with urinal and bedpan; sometimes handle meal preparation; overseeing medication. He will come home with orders for Visiting Nurses to attend to him.
