About the job

About who needs care: Bernie had a benign brain tumor about 15 years ago that causes some cognitive issues such as searching for words and short term memory. She has macular degeneration and hearing aids. Last year she had a heart valve replaced and a pacemaker. She uses a walker, feeds and dresses herself, but needs to have medication given and meals prepared. She is generally pleasant and has a good faith. She enjoys sitting outside in the back porch when the weather is nice and likes positive conversations. There is strong family support, however we need extra help. About the care needs: We would like a caregiver who is positive and willing to engage in friendly conversation. My mom needs to have meals prepared and someone to clean up the kitchen. She enjoys hearing about family and likes to share some of her travels. She has a strong faith but has not attended church for many years. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship
