About the job
About who needs care: We built an addition to our home. My mom lives on the first floor with us (no steps). She has her own bedroom and bathroom. Her dementia is getting worse. I teach and work very close to my house. Mom doesn't know how to use the phone, notes may or may not work. My husband is a paramedic, one son is in nursing school living at home, another son living at home is an EMT. Our schedules are different every week. I don't want her left alone for a long period of time. Summers and holidays are not a problem. I want her to exercise her mind, like reading or doing a puzzle (not TV all day long). I also want her to use the recumbent bike. She does this and seems to enjoy it (sometimes up to 10 miles). Someone also needs to make sure she takes her medication. About the care needs: Not at this point Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
