About who needs care: Father has dementia, sundowner tendencies, ranging from 2 to 6 on a 10-point "lucidity scale" of my own devising. He's nice enough mostly and watches a lot of TV. My 84-year-old mother needs daytime help, 4 to 8 hours per day. Father is mostly bedridden. He is a sports fan, baseball, football, and golf but is having increasing difficulty with the rules. He has recently been accepted for hospice, which means 2 doctors believe he is in his last six months of life. I am only child in the area and stay at the house evenings and nights but need time to get away during the day without leaving mother unassisted with father for full day. About the care needs: Friendly, nice, and honest are three good adjectives. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
