About the job

About who needs care: My father suffered a stroke back in 2023 and has since struggled with moving around. Half of his body is mostly paralyzed and cant move as much. His partner and her family have been taking care of him in Ohio since 2024. His partner will be spending time in Florida for about a month while she receives treatment for cancer. My siblings and I all live in Richmond, VA and cannot take the time to have him stay with us while she will not be with him. My father will spend majority of his day watching TV. He eats three meals a day and will go on an assisted walk inside and outside occasionally. He still needs help to make it to the restroom but is very independent given the circumstances. He likes to talk to people and get to know them. He more than anything likes company. About the care needs: Someone nice and understanding is a must. His english is okay but not perfect. Someone that can talk to him and cheer him up. He doesnt need too much, just someone that can make him a meal or two, give him any medication, help him walk to the restroom, and just tend to any other request he may have! Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
