Seeking a compassionate, patient caregiver for my 70-year-old dad with Parkinson's. He also has cognitive decline, including short-memory loss, confusion, and anxiety. He's very sweet and never aggressive or violent. Although he struggles with speech, he is witty and loves engaging in intellectual conversations. Duties include medication reminders every 3 hours, light meal prep, light housekeeping, and help with mobility, as he uses a walker. Encouraging him to do his exercises and occasionally taking him out for short outings, like getting ice cream, would be wonderful. We're looking for help to fill in gaps while my mom is at work and out of the house, so likely several times per week in chunks of 3-5 hours.
