About the job

About who needs care: My mother is 78 years old and has Parkinsonian Syndrome (which is basically a mild version of Parkinson's disease). She is mobile, walks unsteady and is at risk for falling. She has poor eyesight and mild dementia but is still sharp in many ways, enjoys conversation, being read to, listening to music, taking short walks and watching movies. She requires physical assistance in sitting up and down, getting dressed, and personal care. About the care needs: We're only interested in female care givers, some one who is kind and easy going, and can be both a companion as well as handle the physical requirements of my mother's personal care. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, overnight and mobility assistance.
