About the job

We need hands-on care to take care of my mother in Newton. One of your responsibilities will be to help get her out of bed and to the bathroom. She is in a wheelchair but can walk a few steps. She goes to bed between 5 and 7 p.m. There is a daytime caregiver who works 8 to 5 and gets her ready for bed. Sometimes she wakes up and thinks its morning and wants to get dressed for the day, You will have to remind her its night time and she needs to get back in bed. There is another caregiver that arrives at 9 to work the night shift. If you wanted to work extra hours on the weekend that would be great! We would like you to shadow the daytime caregiver to learn her likes and dislikes. You will be paid for the time you shadow the other caregiver. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker.
