About the job

About who needs care: Mom has Dementia/ Alzhiemers. She is living alone, but across the street from us. She still gets up on her own. makes herself coffee in the morning and has some pasteries or toast. She usually gets up quite late and does not always make herself lunch or just eats more coffee and cookies if hungry if no one is around to give her anything else. She eats dinner with us or we bring her dinner every night. She gets lonely during the day on the days I work and it would be good to have someone to check on her the 3 days a week I work. About the care needs: Someone cheerful with a positive attitude and patience as she will have the same conversation with you over and over again. She used to spend afternoons playing cards with my dad before he passed. It would be good if someone would be interested in playing cards with her in the afternoon or maybe take her to lunch once in a while. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
