Looking for the right person to provide care and support to my mother (70) who has Parkinson's. My dad provides full time care at the moment - but he needs help to manage the day to day. For example - staying with my mom when my dad runs errands or needs to do yard work, helping with minor house hold tasks - like meal prep, tidying up, helping her in and out of her chair, keeping her company and listening to her stories. The right person will need to be patient with my parents and work with them to build trust and find ways to help over time. They will find it hard to allow someone to help and will need to get used to the idea. This job will suit someone with experience in elderly care (and not someone relatively young) and someone who can listen and adapt well to meet my parents needs. There are two overly friendly dogs as well!
