About who needs care: Dementia and mobility issues due to spinal stenosis. She likes to go out to lunch or take a ride to the beach. She needs assistance while taking a shower. Mainly getting in and out of the shower. Also, needs help with her laundry and changing her bed. Making a lunch meal for her and preparing sandwiches that she can eat other times. About the care needs: Someone who is friendly and will engage her in activities. The caregiver needs to have patience with constant repetition because short term memory is non-existent. Someone who can be a companion and assist in taking her to medical appointments when needed. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
