About the job

Seeking a very special person to be an in-home caretaker for my mother in East Asheville. The "salary" will be having all living expenses covered (rent, food, utilities) plus a negotiable stipend. My mom is 81 with COPD and mobility issues. Duties would include helping her in and out of bed every day, meal prep, med management, bathing, dressing, and at times help with toileting. She has a dog who uses pee pads and doesn't go outside, so maintenance for the dog is also part of the job. This person would also help with "administrative duties" like making/managing doctor's appointments, keeping track of bills, errands (doctor's appts, dog to the groomer, etc.), and daily housekeeping chores. This person must be smoke and, very importantly, drug & alcohol-free.
