About who needs care: I am a small quadreplegic 62-year-old former law firm employee for 29 years. Since the pandemic, I now require a small amount of constant oxygen which is provided by a mini-concentrator on the back of my wheelchair. I also require the use of an indwelling chatheter and minimal use of handling things: silverware, toothbrush, pen, some foods, etc. I have a Golden Retriever Helping Dog named Simon. I am very intellectual and an avid Jeopardy TV fan. I structure my days the same as most people without a disability. About the care needs: The ideal Caregiver would be someone who is punctural and consistant concerning their work hour schedule. They should have at least PCA or CNA training. They should be someone who enjoys being around my Helping Dog. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
