About the job

About who needs care: M is a 74-year-old in need of senior care and companionship in her home. M has advanced Alzheimer's dementia. Responsibilities to include: preparing lunch for M and dinner for M and her husband, cleaning up the kitchen, companionship, housekeeping/tidying, prompting with washing/dressing/showering, self-care, administering medications, and communicating with family. M is mobile but needs prompts with toileting, washing up, showering, taking meds and dressing. She is funny, warm and lovely. About the care needs: Looking for someone who is gentle, kind, flexible, excellent with seniors, and has experience with Alzheimer's/dementia. Specifically looking for night shift and fill-in coverage. Night shift (7 p.m. to 7 am) is $20 hour, sleep in a bed in the same room as M, preventing wandering and assisting with toileting.
